My Profile
Once you create a profile on First Stop Mini parts of it are viewable to anybody who wishes to see it, such as your nickname, age, gender and profile picture. If you selected "Only my friends can view my full profile" during signup, your nickname, age and gender will be the only information that will be available to members that you have not personally authorized to view your entire profile. However, if you did not select that option, anybody who clicks on it will be able to view your entire profile. Guests are prohibited from viewing full profiles.

Your primary photo should be a recognizable photo of yourself so that other users know who you are! You don't have to use a face-shot, but it should enable people to easily recognize you. Other photos uploaded should be relevant to your profile, or First Stop Mini. All photos on First Stop Mini are subject to review and approval before they will appear in a profile. Copyrighted photos, illegal content, or potentially offensive photos will be subject to immediate removal. Increasing your hits is simple. Be active on First Stop Mini! This can be achieved by messaging members, posting topics, creating groups, or posting photos or videos in the media center. The more accessible you are to other members, the more your profile page will be visited.

Make sure to set one of your other photos as "Primary Photo" before deleting the photo you don't want. The system won't allow you to delete your primary photo because this is what it uses as a representation of your profile throughout the site.

Search & Archive
Searching is made possible through the search toolbar at the top of every page on First Stop Mini. Using it is as each as typing the keywords or what you wish to search for into the search toolbar, selecting the section you wish to search in from the drop-down menu, and hitting 'go'!
The search toolbar allows you to quickly search through blogs, photos, videos, groups, debates, classifieds, events and articles!
No problem, the search toolbar lets you search through any section you want, dividing results found in other sections into an easily navigated table that allows you to switch from section to section. To search through a single section, select it from the drop-down menu in the search toolbar at the top of every page, enter your keywords, and hit 'go'.
Whenever you initiate a search, the search toolbar searches the entire site by default. However it will only immediately show you the results according to the section you specified to assist in organization. You can search through each additional section by navigating the different tabs on the search results page to correspond to the section you want to look under.
You can search as many times as you like! However, remember that the search toolbar on First Stop Mini will automatically search the entire site and will display results in a divided table. It is not necessary to initiate multiple searches for the same thing under different sections.
The archives section allows you to save and store links that you find on First Stop Mini, or links you believe would be of interest to other First Stop Mini community members.
To save a new link you must first navigate to the 'Archives' section, and then click the "Add URL" button. You will be directed to a form where you can enter a title, define search keywords, and select a category for your link. From here, you can also define whether or not the link will be available to all members or just for your own personal reference.
Saving a link that somebody else has already added is as easy as clicking the "Save it" button that appears underneath each link. You will be prompted to organize your link into a category, but the system will input the rest of the information itself!
Directly underneath a link is a button to "View comments" about that particular link. From this menu, you can add a new comment to be viewed by other members. The comments do not affect the functionality of a link; they simply allow an area for members to leave their impressions of a link.
Yes! You just need to save links that you feel would most interest First Stop Mini. The most popular links list will automatically update to display the most commonly saved links.
Saved links can be managed in the 'Archives' section by clicking on the "Manage my Links" tab. You will be taken to a screen that will allow you to reorganize your links between categories, edit or rate them, or delete them.
Rating a link gives you a way to leave a record of your impression of a link so that other members may make a decision about whether or not they wish to visit a link. Rating does not affect the popularity of a link, and does not alter the functionality of saved links.
A list of members who have saved a particular link can be obtained by navigating to that link and clicking the "X members" link that will normally display the total number of members to have saved the link. This will show you the list of members who saved that link, as well as some alternate link recommendations based on what members with similar interests have saved.
Link categories allow you to organize your saved links in categories which allow you to locate and retrieve the information easily at a later time. You can create as many categories as you personally require. Categories do not affect the functionality of saved links beyond the location they are stored in.
Saved links can be removed by navigating to the 'Archives' section, then the "Manage my Links" tab. You will be provided a list of all your stored links, and the option to select which ones you wish to delete.
Groups
Groups allow members who share a common topic of interest to interact in a smaller community dedicated to them. You can post topics for discussion, photos and upload files to share with other group members.
Login to First Stop Mini and browse to the 'Groups' link from the navigation menu. Once at the 'Groups' page you are able to create a group by selecting the "Create a Group" option.
Only the creator (moderator) of the group can delete it. To delete a group, click the "Delete Group" link on the left-hand menu. You will be asked to confirm your intentions before your group is deleted forever.
Yes you can. Click on the "Remove myself from this Group" link on the left hand side of that group's page. You will be prompted to confirm your intentions before you are removed from the group.
To join a group, click on the 'groups' menu in the top bar of First Stop Mini and search for a group that interests you! Once you decide you would like to join, simply click on the "Join this group" button underneath the group description.
Once you have joined a group, you may begin posting topics provided that the group moderator has not selected to approve new topics before they will appear. To post a new topic, simply navigate to the main page of the group, and select the button "Post new topic". If the group is being moderated it may take 12-24 hours, or until the group moderator next becomes active, for your topic to be authorized.
Once you join a group, the option to upload files will appear in the side menu on the group's page. Uploading files is easy and can by done by any group member. Files uploaded to First Stop Mini are subject to all existing Internet Copyright and intellectual protection laws, and are more subject to removal than unsolicited pictures or videos due to the potentially malicious content of some documents. First Stop Mini reserves the right to prohibit offensive and inappropriate material from being posted, and will not hesitate to terminate a member's account and involve law enforcement agencies in the event of illegal content.
Groups are divided into categories to assist in organization. The category that a group belongs to does not necessarily define what the group is about. To learn about a specific group, read its individual description.
Your profile was deleted because you violated First Stop Mini's Terms and Conditions. Common reasons for deleting are: harassment toward other First Stop Mini members, unsolicited spam, inappropriate language, and viral postings which do not make sense. For a full list of rules, please refer to the Terms and Conditions.
Debates
Debates allow members to discuss a controversial topic with two opposing points of view in a structured group equipped with the ability to score opinions and track the argument. Members can choose a side to support and add a statement to back up their choice, or respond to postings made by other members engaged in the debate.
To create a debate, navigate to the "Debates" section of the community and click on "Post New Topic." This will direct you to a form that will allow you to set parameters for your new debate, including the opening 'for' and 'against' arguments, the title, and the length of the debate. You are also permitted to select whether or not people will be able to vote in this debate, and whether the topic should be considered serious or fun.
In order to vote on the topic you must join the debate, simply click the debate which interests you and select the "Join Debate" button. This will prompt you to declare whether you are 'For' or 'Against' a topic, as well as allowing you to write an opinionated response for other members of the debate.
Yes you can. Only the creator (moderator) of the debate can delete it. To do so, click on your debate from the 'Debates' menu and click the "Delete Debate" link in the left-hand menubar. You will be prompted to confirm your intentions before your debate will be closed forever.
You can post your opinion to a debate as many times as you like (permitted it is not malicious or designed to act as spam messaging.)
Categories are used to organize and divide topics into specific interest groups so as to allow for people to locate things easier. They do not have an effect on an event, video, or group except to help with organization.
No you cannot. However, if you do not wish to participate any longer, you are not obliged to continue posting in a debate.
Unfortunately you cannot change your vote in a particular debate. This is to ensure debate totals reflect the true nature of the debate and that results do not become inaccurate.
When you click on a debate, you are able to view a list of all other debates that a user has posted by looking in the bottom-left hand side of the menubar.
An 'S' beside a topic indicates that it is a predominantly serious issue which would appreciate well-thought informed debate. If there is an 'F' it means it is a predominantly fun topic where responses can be more light-hearted.
On each debate page an option to "Report as inappropriate" will appear alongside the description as a clickable link. This will allow you to send a report to a site moderator detailing why a debate or posting has violated the First Stop Mini Terms and Conditions. For a full list of rules and regulations, please refer to the First Stop Mini Terms and Conditions.
Photos
The 'Photos' section allows members to upload high quality, non-copyrighted photographs and append them to photo albums for other members to see!
To upload your own photos to the website, browse to the 'Photos' section and select the "Upload Photos" tab underneath the categories section. You will be taken to a form allowing you to upload multiple photos as well as letting you identify the tags that will bring it up in a search. If you have not already created a photo album you can do that now by selecting "Create New Photo Album" from the left side of the "Upload Photos" tab.
You can delete photos in two ways. One, by navigating to your photo and selecting the 'Delete' option from the bottom-right. Two, by going to the "Manage my photos" tab in the 'Photos' section and using the checkboxes to identify photos you intend to delete. You can only delete photos which have been uploaded by you.
All photos must be approved by a moderator to ensure the image meets First Stop Mini content regulations. Approved photographs will appear on First Stop Mini immediately after being approved by a moderator. Please allow up to 48 hours to allow a moderator to assess the copyright status and suitability of your photos.
All photos uploaded should be of the .jpg or .gif formats. Currently there is a 6-photo limit to photos on personal profiles, and an unlimited limit on those uploaded to groups or blogs. There is currently no size limit to uploaded photographs!

No problem, permissions on photos allow you to select exactly who will be able to see them. When creating a new album, you are given an option to make it public or private. Public albums can be seen by anybody with a First Stop Mini account. Private albums, however, can only be seen by friends who you have granted permission to view them. You can set the photo permissions by selecting the "Manage my photos" option from within the "Photos" section. Once in the "Manage my photos" section you will see a lock below each photo, select the lock to set your photo viewing permissions.

The members count underneath a blog refers to the number of First Stop Mini members that have added that blog to their favorite blogs list.
Currently, First Stop Mini has no system established to automatically report blog entries. As a result, potentially offensive blogs or entries will be dealt with on a case by case basis after being received as a complaint by a moderator or administrator. Please do not hesitate to alert a First Stop Mini representative through the "contact us" email address provided at the bottom of First Stop Mini.
Forums
Forums allow users to post structured topics so that others may respond to and facilitate an open dialogue with. Forums differ from groups and debates in that they do not specialize in topics or limit participation and are instead open to all members.
